An even, flat surface. Every opposing tooth meets it at once, and the jaw moves freely across it.
Canine guidanceCanine rise
Even contact when closed. Slide forward or to the side, and a ramp at the canine lifts the back teeth apart.
Anterior repositioningJaw forward
A ramp behind the front teeth guides the lower jaw to close a little forward, to the position you record.

A small splint over the front teeth. The front teeth meet it, and the back teeth stay apart.

What is a Dentlink occlusal splint?
A Dentlink occlusal splint is a hybrid splint, soft inside and hard outside, made on your own model to the bite you record and in the design you name on the Rx. One master builds it and checks it against the opposing arch before it ships.
Splint or night guard: what is the difference?
Both sit over the teeth at night. A night guard is there to take the wear. A splint is built to a design you prescribe, such as a flat plane or canine guidance, set to the bite you record and checked on your model. For night guards, see Ondo Nightguards.
Which designs can I order?
Flat plane, canine guidance, anterior repositioning and NTI-style, upper or lower. Name the design on the Rx. Something else? Describe it, and your master confirms it with you before building.
Astron Clear or Durasoft?
Both are hybrid, soft inside and hard outside. Astron Clear is virtually invisible and stain-resistant, for moderate grinders and everyday protection. Durasoft has a cushioned inner liner that absorbs bite pressure, for heavy clenchers and bruxers.
What do you need from me?
Scans of both arches and a bite record at the opening you want, or a physical impression and bite. On the Rx, name the design, the material and the arch.
How long does a splint take?
As little as 10 working days, with shipping included. If a physical impression has to travel, allow up to three weeks.
What if it does not fit?
It is remade at $0, no questions asked, and there is no need to return the previous appliance.
Can I print it in my office?
Yes. Order the splint as a design only. Your master designs it to your bite, and you print it.
Do I need new software or a contract?
No. Add Dentlink once to your scanner and send the case the way you send any case. There is no contract.
